Gallerinas & Grifters in Sluice Spring/Summer 2025

The Spring/Summer 2025 edition of Sluice magazine, ‘World Building’, has arrived. I’ve had writing in every issue since the magazine started. This time, in keeping with the theme, I’ve written a miniature role playing game in which you get to play as an artist in the cutthroat and stupid world of contemporary art.

Sluice is the only UK art magazine that focuses exclusively on grassroots artist-led visual culture, is not beholden to any institution or commercial imperative, and has consistently great and thought-provoking contributions from British and international artists instead of craven hagiographies of lucrative curatorial darlings.

Every issue is also beautifully (and award-winningly) designed by Christian Küsters. Buy the magazine or subscribe to it at the Sluice website.
